The preservation and management of coalmine heritage sites are gaining significant importance for the EU as we make strides toward a climate-neutral economy!
Next week, the Research Center of Post-Mining (https://fzn.thga.de/forschung/coal-heritage/) will be hosting a round table workshop, bringing together various stakeholders to delve into their pivotal roles in the history of coal mining. We will be discussing the shared interest in cultural heritage, the acceptance of preservation measures, and financial support for transforming these sites into attractive and socioeconomically sustainable places. Joining us will be national and local authorities, industry representatives, local community members, and students.
