BRGM team visited various stakeholders

πŸš€πŸŒFrom June 5 to 7, the BRGM team visited various players involved in the promotion and conservation of France’s coal mining heritage.

πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈπŸ—ΊοΈ The BRGM team met with the director and colleagues of Parc Explor Wendel in Petite-Rosselle, Lorraine (https://parc-explor.com), as well as the director and colleagues of the Lewarde Historical Mining Center in the Nord-Pas de Calais mining basin (www.chm-lewarde.com/fr). They also met with the director of the UNESCO mission for this coal mining basin, a World Heritage site since 2012 (https://lnkd.in/drnAkWU9).

πŸ’¬πŸ”₯ Passionate discussions addressed the governance of these interpretation and exhibition spaces, the management of built and documentary heritage, the financial resources, and the legal framework for conserving and promoting this rich cultural and natural heritage, all of which are of utmost importance for the CoalHeritage project.

πŸ™β€οΈ Thanks a lot for their warm welcome! (P. Kusior and L. Gigault – Parc Explor Wendel – L. Piralla, V. Malolepszy and K. Sprimont – Lewarde Mining Center – and C. Bertram (UNESCO mission). Greetings from the BRGM team (L. Beccaletto, N. Charles and G. Bellenfant).
